Wat Ku Mai Daeng (Wiang Tha Kan archaeological site)

Wat Ku Mai Daeng, Wiang Tha Kan Wat ku Mai Daeng is named after the Burma ironwood trees or mai daeng in this area as its actual name has not been found in any ancient records. Archeological excavations at the site found the remains of an assembly hall, stupa, ordination hall, and boundary wall.

The assembly hall is a Lanna-style open hall. It has a multi-tiered receding roof, with a double roof on each side, tiled with flat clay tiles.

The stupa is a round bell-shaped stupa in the Lanna style. The ordination hall is a Lanna-style building similar to the assembly hall but is smaller
