for this year Chiang Mai Countdown 2023 is scheduled to be held between 30 December 2022 - 1 January 2023 at the Tha Phae Gate area.
- Activities of light and color at night, lighting decorations throughout the Tha Phae Gate courtyard In front of the Lanna Folklife Museum and the surrounding roads, trees are lit up with the "rabbit" symbol, the zodiac animal of the year 2023, decorated at various landmarks for tourists to take pictures and check in.
- Music performance “Chiang Mai Music of the City” with various genres including Pop, R&B, Blues, Culture and Folk Music Show, Hiphop and K-Dance Dance Show.
- The highlight for the night of December 31, 2022 is a fireworks display to celebrate the New Year with more than 650 shots and many other activities.
